Here's a little side tip to beware of for your Yahoo! Search (fomerly Overture) camapaign. Their new "budget smoothing" function which spreads an advertisers daily ad spend out evenly throughout the day, does not factor into bid management. Specifically, when you view your Yahoo! bids and their corresponding ranks, those bids do not reflect any fluctuations due to budget smoothing. Consquently, you may be bidding against a competitor(s) that is/are offline temporarily and rather than be in the 3rd position, suddenly jump up to the 2nd or even 1st. This isn't a huge deal, but something to definitely be aware of, especially on highly competitive, high bid keywords. Thoughts?
