On Monday, the inevitable change that everyone has been waiting for finally happened. Yahoo re-branded all of the Overture products with new cute names and a Yahoo logo. A brief moment of silence for our old pal Overture if you will .................. Okay, back to me. Am I the only person that thinks this change is completely confusing for all of Yahoo's customers? Now that Yahoo has six (by my count) search products out there, I expect that our internal meetings will become a melee of back and fourth, trying to figure out which product the other person is talking about. Regardless of the name, I will probably continue to refer to 'Yahoo Sponsored Search' as Overture for another few months or so. At least until enough people start correcting me, so that it is no longer worth it to stick to my guns.

So when we decided to revise our website, we figured we had to get ourselves involved with the blogosphere. It would be a lie to say that we were not somewhat drawn to start this blog because it is the cool thing to do these days. But beyond our quest for cool, we also felt it was important to stake out a claim and make a stand on the current issues in our industry. So there it is.
